We are a family-owned business with a passion for cooking and golf. The Buakhum family, Ken, Nuchy, and our sons, Ricky and Rio, are originally from Ellicott City, MD. We decided to move to Florida in 2021 so that our sons could enter a golf academy and pursue their dream of becoming professional golfers. In Ellicott City, we owned a Thai restaurant called Eattini Thai Kitchen. It features recipes that have been passed down from Nuchy's mom, who did not graduate from a culinary school but perfected all the recipes and cooking tips within her own family.

"She is a master chef and my idol," Nuchy says. "What she passed on to me is not just recipes but that every dish's first and fundamental step begins with carefully choosing the fresh ingredients to get the perfect taste.

There is so much love passed down from her with these recipes. That is why we call them "secret recipes by mom." Eattini Thai Kitchen has been so successful that I have also developed my own sauce called Nuchy's kitchen sauce which is available at local stores in Ellicott City.

After the boys settled in Florida, we then started thinking about opening another Thai restaurant. And that's how The Nine at Heathrow Thai Grill and Kitchen came about.
